Xue Yu is a sub-region of Gan Yu, composed of 13 countries. Every 10 years, the countries within Xue Yu come together to have their young geniuses fight in a tournament. The strongest of which get to join Shen Gong. Anyone that gets to participate in the Great Competition is considered a true genius and will have great renown back home.
Rules[]
The first round is a free-for-all that takes place in the Demonic Area of the precipice. All of the competitors cultivation level are pushed down to the first Xuan Qi layer. There spirit, soul, physical strength and skills will also be restrained, they won’t be able to use them. They can only use basic magical powers and what they learn from the seeds. The second round takes place at Flood Dragon Cave and is a competition for each contestant to make their way through the cave as quickly as possible in order to pick up a jade which features a ranking number.

Each of the four empires, Dragon Mountain, Mangnolia, Black Wings, and Firmament Empires, send thirty six people to the competition. They send sixteen from the empire its self and ten from each of the subordinate countries totaling one hundred and forty four. The people from the empires are considered to be stronger at the top and bottom and if it was based on just current power could send even more people
